Emma Vescio is a curator and arts writer living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is the director of Artists for Hire: an art workers-based classifieds and resource platform. While receiving her Bachelors of Art in Art History, Vescio curated seven shows at galleries including: Bunker Projects, the Silver Eye Lab, PULLPROOF Studio, Lucky Cloud, G1|CW, Phosphor Project Space, and The Union Hall. Her most recent curatorial project was curating a show at Seton Hill University exploring the emotions of nostalgia that tie in with her research throughout the last five years. Vescio has worked on researching queer artists including Felix Gonzalez-Torres and living artists in America within the lens of object-based theory, intmacy, queer time, definitions, and personal archives. Her shows have ranged from full-room installations to quiet print-based exhibitions, but have always aligned with her goal to show marginalized artists.
